Are you waiting around for the 80GB PS3 to come around? Maybe you don’t think it’s going to happen. Well next month, the 80GB version of Sony’s latest console will go on sale. Just not anywhere near the US.

What is really interesting is the price. At $556, it’s cheaper than any current PS3 on the market (not including leftover 20GB versions floating around). So does this mean that we’ll be seeing a new larger, cheaper PS3s sometime in the near future around here? I’m sure everyone would be happy with that.

There’s no word yet from Sony about if when they will be releasing the larger PS3 elsewhere in the world.
