If you’re bored, head over to the Sony’s online store and look around. See if you notice anything missing. You’ll probably be looking for a while, as it’s much harder to notice the absence of something, rather than the presence of an object. If you can’t figure it out, then I’ll just tell you, it’s the 80GB PS3.

I don’t venture onto Sony’s store very often, so I can’t really tell you the last time the 80GB PS3 was seen on the site, I can tell you that Sony has a big conference at GDC later today, which may have something to do with the mysterious disappearance of the console.

There have been plenty of rumors about a new version of the PS3, so I won’t bore you with all of the details. Likely we’ll either see the same old thing with a bigger hard drive and DualShock, or the slim PSThree. If I had to guess, I’d go with the former.
