7-11s across the nation get a Simpsons makeover

Have you been to a 7-11 lately? If you have, you probably noticed that it’s no longer called the 7-11, but now bears the name Kwik-E-Mart and has some very interesting characters at the store.

Unless you’ve lived under a rock for many years, you probably recognized the Kwik-E-Mart and its patrons from The Simpsons. This store redesign comes as part of a deal between Fox and 7-11 to promote the upcoming Simpsons movie.

I’m not really sure how excited I am about there being a Simpsons movie, it’s a great show and all, but is there really a point to making a cartoon movie based on a cartoon series? Oh well, if it turns 7-11 into a Kwik-E-Mart, I’m cool with it.
