I believe you. Having observed their market, they release new products a 12 months or more after their previous step down. The iPad3 is too soon, and they still have to manufacture phones and iPods…

Apple has set the tablet and touch phone industry standards to the highest possible levels and that seemingly, they are having a hard time outdoing their own. However, I believe that Apple’s competitors should be wary of leveling the quality of their products not to the level of the previous iPhone models but rather of the iPhone 5′s so-called improved features. I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. It wouldn’t make sense at all for apple to release the “iPad 3″ this year. One the iPad 2 is only 1/4 the way through it’s lifespan, and two it’s still a powerful player in the tablet market. So if you base you conclusion of the release of an iPad 3 on a “leaked” doc like this then you obviously lack any knowledge of apple as a business and assume it’s simply a big corporation set on screwing your pocket book.
