3Doodler Create upgrade makes for easier doodling

The original 3Doodler pen was a cool device that was a bit of a cross between a hot glue gun and a 3D printer that allowed you to create 3D objects using plastic that came out molten and hardened once the plastic hit the air. That original version of the 3Doodler hit Kickstarter back in 2013 and was a rather fat device. 3Doodler 2.0 later hit the market making the pen even better and now a third version has been announced called the 3Doodler Create.

The Create version of the pen is much thinner than the original and easier to handle. It is also said to be more child friendly since it doesn't get as hot as the original. The device has an aluminum case and initially is only offered in the grayish case you see in the images. In the future, it will come in pink, yellow, green, and bright blue colors.

Inside that aluminum case is a refined drive system that allows for a smoother and more reliable experience when drawing with the pen. A Light Bar has been added on the back of the device that shows at a glance if it is turned on. On the side of the Create is a clear window that allows you to see what the pen looks like on the inside.

Included with the pen is a power adapter, colored plastic strings, cleaning tools, nozzle removal tools, and temperature adjustment tools. If you purchased a 3Doodler 2.0 pen you can get 50% off the purchase price of the 3Doodler Create making it very affordable. The normal retail price is $99 and it can be purchased directly from the Wobbleworks website. There are a wide range of colors and finishes for the plastic strands in PLA, ABS, and other flexible materials selling for $9.99 for 25 strands or $29.99 for 100 strands.
