Sketchpad Pro works great with a stylus and it is easy to sketch because you can control the stroke via settings too.

It won’t work with an “active” stylus like you’d get with a proper Wacom graphics tablet (or, indeed, as on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1) but there are various capacitive styli around which will give a little more accurate control.

Sketchbook Pro does sound mighty fine, but does it support stylus input, and are there even compatible styluses offered for the iPad? I apologize if this seems a noobish question, but I don’t own a tablet of any kind.
