2017 Ford Fusion V6 Sport offers 325hp 2.7L EcoBoost V6

Ford has announced some interesting models for the 2017 Fusion mid-size sedan. The new Fusion will come in hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions along with a new high-power Sport V6 version that offers an EcoBoost twin-turbo 2.7L V6 engine. That EcoBoost Sport V6 makes 325hp and 350 lb-ft of torque and is paired with AWD for traction.

The hybrid versions of the Fusion are the Fusion Hybrid and the Fusion Energi with the latter being the plug-in hybrid version. Those cars both get more efficient electric motors that are expected to deliver improved fuel economy and better electric driving range.

Ford will also offer Fusion Platinum with a 2.0L EcoBoost four and AWD with a premium interior in antiqued Cocoa leather. Some other sporty touches Fusion Sport V6 buyers will enjoy include continuously controlled real-time suspension tuning with pothole detection tech to reduce impact from potholes.

The Fusion Energi has a 7.6 kilowatt-hour battery good for 19-miles on electricity alone and automatically switches to the 2.0L gas engine when the battery is dead giving a driving range of 500 miles total. The battery pack can be charged in 2.5 hours and both electric Fusions can drive on electricity alone up to 85mph.
