2013 Honda Fit debuts with new features

Honda has announced the 2013 Fit is now on sale. The little compact car will be available in a new exterior color and can be had with new standard and available features. The new color for 2013 is called Midnight Plum Pearl and is replacing the available Orange Burst Metallic from 2012. The 2013 Fit is on sale as of today starting at $15,325.

The car has a 1.5-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine that produces 117 hp at 6600 RPM and produces 106 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission is a five-speed manual and a five-speed automatic is available. Sport models of the Fit get steering wheel mounted paddle shifters when equipped with an automatic transmission. The Fit Sport gets 16-inch alloy wheels while base models get five-spoke wheel covers.

Inside the car drivers and passengers get 90.8 cubic feet of space with comfortable seating for up to five passengers. Behind the rear seat is 20.6 cubic feet of storage space. The Fit Sport also gets fog lights, a body-colored underbody kit, and rear brief line spoiler. The Sport model also gets chrome exhaust tips and rear stabilizer bar. The Sport version can also be had with an integrated navigation system with a 6.5-inch screen and 16 GB of flash memory.
