How is HTC about updating OSes with their phones (I know some of that has to do with carriers)? I’ve been following the news and previews on tablets pretty religiously, and some companies are quite forthcoming about whether they’ll upgrade to Honeycomb or not. I haven’t heard anything from HTC about moving into Honeycomb in the future for this Flyer.

I totally agree. The pen gets me amped about a tablet, and I’ve been waiting for HTC to get one out to match my Hero. I’m hoping for Sense integration b/t phone and tablet or at least a familiar workflow in tablet and phone.

Got a Galaxy Tab and the size is PERFECT. Nice to know that there will be another option soon if this one becomes obsolete/gets left behind.

That’s not a bad number. It’s certainly profitable.

You have to take into consideration the fact that 7″ tablets in general see only half the interest that 10″ tablets get. The software on the Flyer is not the latest Android version (yet) and it doesn’t have a fancy dual-core or any other specs to brag about – except for the pen.

The pen really is the only selling point. Make no mistake, it’s a HUGE selling point.
It’s not something you can add to any other tablet with a software update or an accessory.

However, the public knows little about the existence of pressure sensitive pen input for computing devices. Hardly anyone knows that there are tablets you can write on.

In that light, if they can sell one million in the first quarter, I would consider this a success and an important first step to increase the popularity of pen-enablet computing.
