14-megapixel Altek Leo Android phone gets video demo

Nokia's 12-megapixels are impressive, but Altek reckon there's still room in smartphones for a few more pixels.  They brought their Android 2.1 smartphone, the Altek Leo, along to CommunicAsia 2010 this week, to demonstrate exactly what 14-megapixels, a Xenon flash and a 3x optical zoom look like in a handset.  According to CNET Asia, the Leo should drop in Q4 2010, priced at the equivalent of $499; check out a video demo after the cut.

Unfortunately, that Q4 launch is only tipped for Asia, with the Leo due to show up in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.  It'll land with Android 2.1 – a Froyo update being planned but not dated – and the usual Google Android apps.
